Did You Know that Adult Coloring Books are Fast Becoming the Technique Used to Help With Grown-Up Stress?

Of course, you did. You’re on this page. We’ve heard the term mindfulness, but if you haven’t mastered a way to live in the now, then you’ll want to give adult coloring books a try.

If you loved to color when you were little, you’d remember being lost in the task of creativity. That’s the purpose of adult coloring books; to help us keep our minds in the present. Of course, it won’t rid you of your problems; however, it can help calm your mind and focus on the task and enjoyment of coloring. By keeping your thoughts focused on only coloring, you may be surprised by what that kind of calm can do for you and your life choices.

This stress relief technique can be beneficial for those who have difficulty focusing on reading, knitting, crocheting, or drawing. The act of coloring helps to keep your creative mind alive, keeps your hands busy, and, best of all, you’re doing something with your hands, which alone can be a distraction for the overwhelmed thinker.

You don’t have to leave your home to color, or, if you so choose, you can take your Adult Coloring Books with you anywhere you go.

Get your creative juices flowing by using an assortment of colors and markers. Collect books and coloring tools; this can fast become your way to relieve the stresses of everyday life.

    • Barbara, I’ll bet it would work wonders for writers block – anything that triggers the creative center of the mind has to be a good thing imo 🙂 – btw, thanks for stopping by !

  1. Just never gave this a thought as an adult, although when I was a kid I used to draw an entire page of whorls, turns, overlapping lines and loops, and then color them in. It was very satisfying, but I always felt once it was complete, “what do I do with it now?” and it would be thrown away. It always seemed like such a waste to me. But I agree it was a soothing, calming thing to do.
